ResponsibilitiesNoblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions' to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to provide support to various ship programs for the US Navy in the areas of oil pollution abatement in the wastewater code.You will provide engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support to U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, and Foreign Military Sales ships and vessels related to the following systems and equipment: Waste Transfer systems; Separators; Process Monitors; and secondary treatment systems; Non-Oily Wastewater (NOW) systems and equipment support.The Mechanical Engineer position will design, evaluate, plan, test and operate mechanical equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses. The candidate's primary duties and responsibilities include:Creating mechanical designs and drawingsWriting precise calculationsCreating and testing prototypes for functionalityRe-engineering products when problems are found and recalculating for the return of products to full functionalityPreparing reports and documentation for leadershipPerform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacementsThis position will be based out of the Philadelphia Navy Yard.This is a fast-growing program with opportunity for growth and advancement. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on‑call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
