Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Pay Rate: $69 /hr Location: Norwood, MA Area Code: 339, 781 ZIP Code: 02062 Start Date: Right Away Keywords: #MechanicalEngineer #AerospaceJobs #AerospaceEngineer Job Description: Design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace measurement and control systems used in aircraft and engine environments Responsibilities: * Support DO‑160 environmental qualification activities, including vibration, thermal cycling, shock, and mechanical stress testing, in collaboration with test and certification teams * Generate and review mechanical design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and engineering change records in accordance with company"s standards * Support laboratory testing, instrumentation setup, and test execution for environmental and qualification testing * Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective design actions * Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory and customer requirements * Support certification documentation and compliance artifacts for aerospace and defense customers Education and Experience: * Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline * Experience performing or supporting RTCA DO‑160 environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, altitude, humidity) * Experience with mechanical design for aerospace or aviation hardware * Experience creating engineering drawings and documentation * Experience supporting avionics, aerospace instrumentation, or aircraft engine-related hardware preferred * Experience supporting certification or qualification programs for commercial or military aerospace applications is a plus Skills and Knowledge: * Must be a U.S. citizen * Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory or test environment * Familiarity with aerospace quality and compliance standards (AS9100, configuration management) is a plus * Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities * Effective verbal and written communication If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
