    Job Description

    THK Manufacturing of America, Inc. in Hebron, Ohio, is seeking a Project Engineer to support manufacturing projects, process improvements, and equipment development. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and working across departments to improve manufacturing operations.

    What You’ll Do
    As a Project Engineer, you will develop, coordinate, and execute manufacturing projects from concept through completion. This hands-on role combines engineering, project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and systems used in industrial machinery.
    • Coordinate manufacturing projects, establish timelines, monitor progress, and communicate updates to management.
    • Analyze workflows, equipment layouts, and space utilization to improve efficiency and support process innovation.
    • Prepare Manufacturing Orders in support of production scheduling and ensure they are processed accurately and on time.
    • Develop project proposals, technical documentation, Bills of Materials, and other engineering reports.
    • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and recommend effective short- and long-term solutions.
    • Partner with Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, and other departments to keep projects aligned and moving forward.
    • Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution.
    • Confirm material availability and visually verify inventory on the production floor when needed.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
    What We’re Looking For
    • Bachelor’s degree or associates in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Basic understanding of engineering principles and production scheduling practices.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
    • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
    • Interest in continuous improvement and developing practical solutions.
