Multiple remote opportunities available.Job SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer will work closely with senior Oakwell engineers and its health system clients to accomplish the following:Conceptualize and implement a 10-year sustainability and decarbonization plan in collaboration with senior Oakwell engineers and the health system client/ownerEvaluate and benchmark sites with an aim to reduce existing energy consumption/carbon emissionsReduce energy costsRenew infrastructure and drive electrification effortsAlign sustainability efforts with client's facility real estate master planCreate sustainable MEP building construction standardsPrimary ResponsibilitiesEvaluate existing site energy utilization, carbon emissions and benchmark against similar facilitiesAudit, analyze and document facilities and existing MEP systemsReview existing condition drawingsCollaborate with facility staff to acquire information about plant operations and system deficienciesRetro-commission existing mechanical systems including central plant, air handling, terminal equipment and energy management systemsDevelop multi-phased return on investment ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures) that will reduce site energy consumption and operating costsEstimate savings using custom energy modeling softwareProduce detailed reports on existing facility conditions, recommendations, cost savings and ROIComplete technical assistance studies as required by utility companies for efficiency incentivesPresent Oakwell's findings and recommendations to clientsPrepare detailed scope of work narratives, EMS points list and EMS sequence of operations for pricing by contractors and vendorsPrepare scaled drawings and specifications for installation and modifications of mechanical systemsLead construction meetings for the implementation of ECMsCommission new systems and control recommendationsDevelop sustainable MEP building standards for clientMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering5 to 7 years of experience as a Mechanical EngineerHave or be working towards a Professional Engineering LicenseAvailability to travel, as needed (20%)Competency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD softwarePreferred Skills and QualificationsFacilitate the creation, implementation and use of machine learning and AI tools to streamline internal workflowsExperience working in a client facing environmentProficiency in Autodesk Revit and eQUESTWhat makes you a great Oakwell teammate?You take ownership and demonstrate agency to drive projects forwardWorking collaboratively in a team is second nature to youYou thrive in ambiguity and changing priorities while delivering with consistencyOakwell is an E-Verify Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
