Mechanical Engineer (Simulation & Training Systems)OverviewWe are seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to support the completion and production of physical training and simulation systems used in technical and industrial environments. This role is execution-focused and ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking partially complete designs and driving them to manufacturing-ready delivery . The engineer will support the finalization of mechanical designs, produce detailed drawing packages, and assist with build and production readiness for standalone training systems.This is not an R&D role — success is measured by speed, accuracy, and clean execution .What You'll Be DoingComplete and finalize mechanical drawing packagesDevelop detailed layouts, assemblies, and fabrication drawings in Autodesk InventorPrepare designs for manufacturing and productionSupport prototype builds and initial production (“bending metal”)Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers on:Cable routingWire management and strain reliefMounting of terminal blocks and test pointsParticipate in design reviews, testing, and integration activitiesTroubleshoot mechanical issues in lab and build environmentsMaintain documentation and configuration control using Autodesk VaultTrack tasks and progress using Jira in a delivery-focused workflowRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field5–10 years of mechanical engineering experienceStrong experience producing complete, build-ready drawing packagesProficiency with Autodesk Inventor (required)Experience with Autodesk Vault or similar PDM/PLM toolsComfort working hands-on with hardware, assemblies, and buildsAbility to collaborate effectively across mechanical and electrical disciplinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in an office-based environmentNice to HaveExperience supporting training systems, simulators, or industrial hardwareFamiliarity with aviation or electrical systems (wiring, harnesses, terminal blocks)Exposure to Costpoint or MRP/logistics workflowsExperience supporting systems through CDR and into productionEngenium is an equal opportunity employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.#J-18808-Ljbffr
