You In This Role will have a unique opportunity to gain multidisciplinary engineering experience spanning mechanical design, factory systems, equipment installation, and process execution while supporting the launch of a vertically integrated American manufacturing facility. You'll work alongside equipment vendors, skilled trades and production staff to ensure our production lines are safe, efficient, and high performing. From workstation design to system integration and operator training, you’ll be part of the core team bringing our facility online and scaling it up.

A Day In The Life

No two days will look exactly the same in this role (fill in details) As you grow, you’ll have opportunities to lead equipment specification efforts, drive automation initiatives, and play a critical role in launching new production lines.

What Youll Do

  • Support the installation, bring-up, and debugging of electric motor manufacturing equipment: stator winding machines, glue dispensers, servo driven presses, curing ovens, electrical testing equipment and more
  • Coordinate with electricians and contractors to install and verify factory infrastructure (power, air, fume extraction, etc.)
  • Design and maintain operator workstation layouts that prioritize safety, ergonomics, and throughput
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing technicians to troubleshoot equipment, adjust process settings, and maintain uptime
  • Participate in safety reviews and hazard assessments; help implement engineering controls to mitigate risk
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical work instructions, and training guides for each station
  • Assist in the rollout of our Quality Management System (QMS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES), including traceability and quality data collection infrastructure
  • Create tooling and fixture designs using 3D CAD
  • Document lessons learned, suggest improvements, and support continuous process development as we ramp up production

What You Bring

  • BS/MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (Fusion 360, OnShape, etc.)
  • Prior onsite experience working in a manufacturing enviornment
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, mechanical tolerancing, and assembly tools
  • Interest or experience with electrical systems, sensors, and basic PLC logic (24VDC)
  • Comfortable working hands-on around machines and production equipment
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong communication and documentation skills
  • Bonus: Exposure to safety engineering, ergonomics, or OSHA guidelines
  • Bonus: Experience with quality systems, industrial equipment, or operator training materials
