We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer in our growing Madison, WI office. This opportunity offers exciting project challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. For the right candidate, this position also provides the potential to develop into a Practice Team Leader in the Madison office.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, responsibilities may include:

• Project engineering and management, including project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives
• Project financial management, as well as hands-on involvement in the design process
• Serving as a technical resource and mentor for mechanical and plumbing team members
• Lead and participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project interviews, presentations, and client management
• Develop new business opportunities by strengthening relationships with existing clients and creating new client connections
• Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities to enhance visibility and market presence
• Professional society involvement

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical or architectural engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in design experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems for a variety of building types
• Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply
• Abilities to mentor staff and successfully lead a project team is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large site projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin
• PE licenses in other Midwest states is a plus
• Commissioning experience would be a plus
• Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary
