We are in a significant growth mode and it's an exciting time to be joining our business!What You'll Be DoingYou will be working as an SME supporting various pulp and paper projects, helping clients achieve their desired objective by integrating and designing custom solutions for different applications.Delivering mechanical engineering expertise to pulp and paper clients, supporting projects ranging from system assessments to full-scale capital upgradesConducting on-site evaluations of mill equipment, including pulping systems, screening, refining, and paper‑machine components, to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunitiesDesigning, evaluating, and integrating mechanical subsystems across the papermaking process, including pulping, screening, refining, cleaning, stock preparation, forming, pressing, drying, and finishing operationsDeveloping engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation for equipment modifications, replacements, and new installationsProviding actionable recommendations to enhance reliability and reduce downtimeSupporting project execution by coordinating with vendors, contractors, and client teams throughout design, procurement, fabrication, and commissioningAnalyzing process and equipment data to optimize system performance, energy efficiency, and throughputPreparing clear, client-ready reports, drawings, and presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and project progressEnsuring all engineering work aligns with industry standards, safety requirements, and client expectationsServing as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping them plan long-term asset strategies and continuous improvement initiativesYour Ideal BackgroundThe successful candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivator, and be excited by opportunities to add value to our clients with Jedson's engineering expertise. Strong communication skills, collaboration, and courage to challenge the status quo are cornerstones of the Jedson Edge.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineExperience (+5 years) in the pulp and paper industry, particularly with paper‑machine systems, pulping operations, or mill mechanical equipmentStrong understanding of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, and industrial utilitiesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and equipment specificationsProficiency with engineering analysis tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FEA tools, reliability analysis software)Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach to troubleshootingStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a mill or industrial environmentThe ability to manage projects, including coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesExperience in an Engineering or Construction industry experience.Detailed oriented with analytical skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
