Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 6 months+ contract (possibility to go perm)

 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services.

 

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently in multiple phases for the Product Realization Process, without direction from mentors or functional management.
  • Has ability to lead and direct thermal analysis workstreams utilizing appropriate simulation software for predicting and optimizing thermal performance in product development
  • Develops engineering/product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's (customer, manufacturing, material, agency, etc.) needs and requirements through an established area of technical specialty and, where applicable, mentorship of others on the global discipline team.
  • Demonstrates skill in the full product realization process, primarily concept, design, implementation, and test within technologies of plastics, metals, mechanisms, and enclosures.
  • Assists project management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content.
  • Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.

 

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience is required.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or Creo modeling is preferred.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments is preferred.
