We're looking for a Principal Application Engineer to serve as a top‑level technical expert and individual contributor, leading the most complex and high‑impact engineering initiatives. This role operates with a high level of autonomy and plays a key part in driving engineering excellence, innovation, and scalable design solutions.

As a trusted technical authority, this individual will influence engineering direction, establish best practices, and partner with leadership to strengthen long‑term technical capability. This is a hands‑on, senior‑level role focused on solving challenging problems, guiding technical standards, and mentoring engineering talent.

What You'll Do

  • Lead highly complex engineering and system integration projects with significant business impact
  • Establish and improve CAD standards, engineering processes, and documentation practices
  • Drive innovation in design efficiency, scalability, and quality
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex engineering, operational, and customer challenges
  • Partner with leadership and cross‑functional teams to support strategic initiatives and advanced solutions
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and engineering methodologies
  • Lead problem‑solving efforts in ambiguous, non‑routine scenarios
  • Mentor and develop engineers, supporting long‑term talent growth and succession planning

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 8–10+ years of experience in application engineering, design, or manufacturing environments
  • Proven success leading complex, cross‑functional engineering initiatives
  • Experience with fluid systems, instrumentation, or custom assemblies (preferred)

Key Skills

  • Expert‑level system design, integration, and fabrication knowledge
  • Deep understanding of fluid systems and instrumentation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strategic mindset with strong business and operational awareness
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving environments

If you enjoy owning complex technical challenges, driving engineering standards, and influencing how solutions are built at scale, this could be a great next step.
