We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing automation engineering team focused on designing and delivering custom machinery and automated equipment for manufacturing environments.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects from concept through production while collaborating closely with project management, fabrication, assembly, controls, and customers. What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through manufacturing and startup
- Design custom machinery, automation equipment, and engineered systems
- Create detailed assembly, weldment, installation, and manufacturing drawings
- Develop and specify components including motors, gearboxes, bearings, structural systems, and purchased equipment
- Support system-level design activities, approval drawings, and equipment integration
- Release engineering documentation through ERP systems
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience within automation, machinery, or manufacturing environments
- Strong SolidWorks and 2D CAD experience
- Experience designing mechanical systems and custom equipment
- Understanding of motors, bearings, gearboxes, structural components, and machine design principles
