The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of relevant experience in power or heavy industrial facilities and can independently manage technical responsibilities, mentor design staff, and support project execution through all phases.Key Responsibilities: Lead mechanical engineering design on power and industrial projectsPerform pipe sizing, routing, material selection, valve selection, and hydraulic calculationsDevelop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverablesCreate and review P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical specificationsPrepare datasheets for pumps, valves, and balance-of-plant equipmentProvide direction and oversight to mechanical designers and drafting teamsInterface with project managers, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure accurate and efficient designsSupport system checkout and commissioning activities as neededMake sound technical decisions with limited input, using engineering judgment and industry best practicesRequired Skills and Qualifications: 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in power generation or heavy industrial facilitiesProven experience leading detailed mechanical design effortsExpertise in piping systems: sizing, routing, support design, and materialsProficient with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in preparing and checking P&IDs, layouts, equipment specificationsKnowledge of mechanical process equipment including valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and vesselsExperience with hydraulic system design and calculationsPipe-Flo or equivalent hydraulic analysis software experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build collaborative relationships with plant personnel, engineering teams, and vendors#J-18808-Ljbffr
