ResponsibilitiesSupport multiple NPI and CPI programs through complete design and development of mechanical light-fabrication systems.Perform packaging and integration activities with various vehicle sub-systems.Contribute to the design and development of light-fabricated components, including sheet-metal parts and castings.Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models to support design, prototype, and production phases.Support DfX, FMEA, and DVP&R activities throughout all development phases.Support engineering change management processes, including documentation control and release workflows.Apply and follow CAT standards, engineering guidelines, and best practices in all design work.Drive cross-functional alignment by collaborating with manufacturing, quality, CAE/testing teams, suppliers, and other engineering groups.Experience4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design development in heavy-equipment products.Experience supporting NPI and/or CPI engineering programs.Hands-on experience designing sheet-metal, welded, and light-fabricated components.Experience with vehicle-level system packaging and integration.Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling tools (Creo and Team Center).Experience with DfX, FMEA, and DVP&R processes and familiarity with engineering documentation control and change management systems.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of light-fabrication processes such as sheet-metal forming, casting, and welding.Knowledge of CAT standards, industry guidelines, and design best practices (preferred).#J-18808-Ljbffr
