The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in supporting engineering excellence and operational success.CompetenciesStrong mechanical engineering fundamentals and analytical skills.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Proficiency in CAD modeling and engineering documentation.Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis abilities.Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.Attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.Essential FunctionsDesign & Engineering SupportDesign mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and bills of material.Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and tolerance studies.Support design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).Manufacturing & Production SupportProvide engineering support to manufacturing operations.Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.Support new product introductions, prototypes, and first‑article builds.Develop and maintain engineering documentation and work instructions.Quality & ComplianceEnsure designs and processes comply with ISO 9001/AS 9100 and customer requirements.Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non‑conforming products.Participate in design reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Cross‑Functional CollaborationCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Program teams.Support customer technical inquiries and engineering changes.Communicate design intent, risks, and changes effectively.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.Support implementation of process improvements and engineering best practices.Non‑essential FunctionsAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.37 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
