RoleOverview
WeareseekingaMechanicalEngineerwithstrongturbomachinerydesignexperiencetosupportthedevelopmentofadvancedaerospacethermalmanagementsubsystemsusedacrossmilitaryandcommercialplatformsglobally.Thisrolefocusesonthedesignanddevelopmentofrotatingmachinery,includingcompressors,pumps,andfansintegratedwithinaerospacethermalsystems.Theidealcandidatehashands-onexperiencedesigningturbomachinerycomponentsfromconceptthroughvalidation,withstronggroundinginaerodynamics,CFD,structuralintegrity,andhigh-speedrotatingequipmentdesign.TheseprogramsareenteringearlydevelopmentphasespriortoPreliminaryDesignReview(PDR),requiringstrongtechnicalleadershipinturbomachineryarchitecture,performanceprediction,andmechanicalrobustness.

Performaerodynamicdesignandoptimizationofrotatingcomponents
ConductorsupportCFDanalysisforflowperformanceandefficiencyvalidation
Performstructuralanalysisofrotatingcomponents,includingstress,fatigue,androtordynamicsconsiderations
Supportbearingselection,shaftdesign,housingintegration,andsealingstrategies
Defineperformancerequirementsandconducttradestudiesduringearly-phasesystemarchitecture
Supportprototypebuilds,performancetesting,andvalidationactivities
Ensuredesignsmeetaerospaceenvironmentalrequirements(shock,vibration,temperature,altitude)
Collaboratewiththermal,systems,controls,andpackagingteamsforsubsystemintegration
DevelopdetailedCADmodelsandmanufacturingdrawings(SolidWorkspreferred)
Participateinrootcauseanalysis,performancetroubleshooting,anddesignimprovements
Ensurecompliancewithaerospaceanddefensestandardsanddocumentationpractices
