Our plastics manufacturing client in the Washington, PA area is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work with the sales team as well as on the manufacturing floor.
-Design, develop, and optimize molds for plastic injection molding processes
-Collaborate with sales to review customer requirements, support quoting, and provide technical guidance
-Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and recommend improvements
-Oversee mold builds, modifications, and repairs with toolmakers and external vendors
-Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support on the production floor
-Improve manufacturing processes, cycle times, and product quality through continuous improvement efforts
-Conduct testing, validation, and performance analysis of molds and processes
-Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and compliance with safety and quality standards
-Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
-2+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing or mold design (preferred)
-Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
-Strong understanding of injection molding processes and tooling design
-Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and sales personnel
-Hands-on, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to work on the shop floor
