We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician 3 to support product development, prototype evaluation, and quality testing in an engineering lab or machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, experience with workshop tools and test equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot product issues while maintaining laboratory safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers on prototype development, evaluation, and product improvement initiatives.
Build, modify, and maintain test mockups, parts, fixtures, and prototypes using hand tools and power tools.
Perform product teardowns, modifications, inspections, and performance and quality testing.
Maintain laboratory and workshop equipment, including routine maintenance and periodic calibration.
Set up and operate machines and test equipment, prepare test loads, and establish appropriate test conditions.
Troubleshoot product issues, test failures, equipment problems, and testing conditions.
Perform basic data analysis, calculations, and documentation of laboratory activities.
Maintain equipment, sample, and material inventories while ensuring workplace safety and cleanliness.
Follow applicable industry testing standards and identify opportunities for product quality improvements.
Work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing project requirements.

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent qualification.
5+ years of experience in an engineering laboratory or machine shop environment.
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical tools, workshop equipment, and fabrication or modification of fixtures and mockups.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and circuit diagrams.
Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and basic electronics principles.
Experience setting up test equipment, preparing test loads, establishing test conditions, and collecting test data.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory documentation.
Ability to follow industry testing standards and identify potential issues with equipment setups and test conditions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy loads, bending, and stooping, and working in environments involving heat, cold, hot water, and food products.
Flexibility to support changing assignments and testing requirements.
