Mechanical Engineering Manager
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers while driving the design, development, and implementation of custom industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise, project management, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and resource planning.
Manage engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.
Design and develop custom machinery and mechanical systems using CAD software and engineering best practices.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and structural components.
Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to improve processes and support business objectives.
Partner with suppliers and vendors to source, evaluate, and integrate components and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and industry regulations.
Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and new product development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Strong expertise in mechanical design, machine design, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Project management and budget oversight experience.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement new technologies.
Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000
