Responsibilities
- Independently plan and perform experiments to support new product or technology feasibility testing.
- Critically analyze data generated from experiments and synthesize evaluations of product and technology feasibility, as well as ideas and concepts.
- Report results of experiments to R&D management and peers, advising on product development implications and preparing technical reports when necessary.
- Maintain scientific equipment to support scientific and technical objectives as well as regulatory and governance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with SM product development objectives and regulatory guidelines.
- Interface with engineering teams to support experimental designs and perform testing of experimentally produced products as required.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week.
