Position primary responsibilities:
- Assist Operations/Manufacturing in bringing new equipment, tooling, and technology online through overseeing trial builds under the guidance of Manufacturing Engineers.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with process development for the industrialization of new products to achieve program safety, process capability, labor and materials costs, and cycle time targets through the building of prototypes and early release parts.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer with Continuous Improvement initiatives, which may include recording and tracking of trials and early-stage pass/fail rates, machine performance, and cycle time.
- Document, through writing and photographing, the work performed to be used for reporting, writing and work instruction creation
- Collaborative participation with other departments in facility-wide Safety, Quality, and general waste reduction problem-solving activities
- Assist Operator training
