Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Austin, TX | Contract-to-Hire - 100% onsite

Synigent is seeking a Senior and Lead Mechanical Engineers for our client in the Austin area to support the design and development of advanced UAV and autonomous systems. This role will be responsible for creating innovative mechanical solutions, developing airframe and structural components, supporting prototype builds, and helping transition products from development into production.

The ideal candidate has experience designing complex mechanical systems, performing engineering analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience designing mechanical systems and assemblies for complex products
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Experience with engineering analysis, testing, and product validation
  • Ability to support products from concept through production

Preferred Experience:
  • Aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced manufacturing industries
  • Structural, kinematic, and load analysis experience
  • Prototype development and product launch support
  • Cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams
