Job Details

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a vital role in our fast-paced, rapidly growing construction team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of high-profile construction projects, by providing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates. You will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical estimating, including HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit projects, with a focus on sheet metal works. In addition, you will be involved in bidding, budgeting, and preparing cost analysis for various projects. This role demands a high level of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. With at least 5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, you will be well-equipped to drive our projects forward and ensure their successful completion.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed, accurate mechanical estimates for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit works.
• Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications to understand the full scope of work required.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects, ensuring all cost factors are accurately represented.
• Participate in budgeting processes, providing detailed cost analysis and financial projections.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between project scope and estimate.
• Continually monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure our estimates remain competitive and accurate.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to determine areas for future improvement in the estimating process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, retrofit, and sheet metal works.
• Strong understanding of estimating, bidding, and budgeting processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in mechanical estimating.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing, and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
