Location: Peoria, AZ (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Initial M-F (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) during facility setup; transitioning to a 12-hour compressed workweek shift upon full manufacturing operations.

Are you a skilled mechanical technician ready to play an active role in maintaining high-tech industrial infrastructure?
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Technician to join our team in Peoria, Arizona. In this role, you will be hands-on with the installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and optimization of critical mechanical utilities, cleanroom HVAC systems, and building infrastructure supporting advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, boilers, scrubbers, air handlers (AHUs), pumps, compressors, and mechanical support systems.
- Plumbing & Piping Support: Maintain and repair process cooling water (PCW), domestic water, wastewater, drain systems, valves, and associated piping.
- Troubleshooting & Inspections: Conduct routine equipment rounds. Diagnose mechanical failures (belts, motors, bearings, actuators) using schematics, test tools, and system data.
- BMS & Central Control Operations: Monitor and adjust Building Management Systems (BMS) for optimal temperature, humidity, airflow, and energy efficiency. Operate within central control rooms.
- Commissioning & Safety: Support system startups, shutdowns, and commissioning. Strictly adhere to LOTO, confined space entry, OSHA, and ASHRAE safety standards.
- Documentation: Log maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history using CMMS software.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Experience: 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or high-tech manufacturing setting (semiconductor experience preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of HVAC, hydronic systems, pumps, compressed air, and piping utilities. Ability to read mechanical schematics and P&IDs.
- Tools & Software: Experience with CMMS work order tools and operating within central control room environments.
- Physical & Safety Standards: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on rooftops/confined spaces, climb ladders, work in varying weather, and pass medical qualification to wear a respirator.
Preferred:
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal or Type I/II/III).
- Trade school degree or technical certification in HVAC or Mechanical Systems.
- Boiler or Chiller Operator Certification.
- Hands-on experience with BMS automation and energy optimization.
