POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mechanical Field Engineer supports data center operations by providing hands-on mechanical expertise across Fluidstack's growing portfolio of AI infrastructure sites. You will be the on-site subject matter expert for mechanical systems, ensuring high availability and reliability of cooling and related infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Own the thermodynamic design of the direct current air cooled chiller platform for next-generation AI data centers, focusing on refrigeration cycle optimization and performance testing.
" Address EMI/EMC shielding, creepage/clearance requirements, and mechanical integration of power modules, capacitors, and semiconductor devices in compact, high-reliability packages.
" Define and execute mechanical and thermal validation testing including structural FEA, thermal cycling, vibration, and environmental qualification for power electronics assemblies.
" Lead end-to-end mechanical design of HVDC/LVDC power distribution systems and integrate cooling solutions for high-power electronics in data centers.
" Bring refrigeration equipment from concept through prototype to production.
