    Job Description:

    General Responsibilities:

    Individual will work as lead member of a design team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enclosures that contain the electronics for various electronic devices such as ADAS controllers, Hybrid Power Inverters, Battery modules, etc. with a focus on liquid cooling development.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Plan and manage activities for advanced development of ADAS and other automotive control modules.  Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    • Benchmarking and design optimization of free/forced convection architectures and design/optimization of liquid cooled architectures. 
    • Ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame by performing any combination of essential duties and responsibilities.

    The individual will work closely with our key customers and will be responsible for tracking all project deliverables and ensuring on-time and accurate completion of all project deliverables.  The individual may directly manage junior engineers and will be responsible for managing their workstreams to achieve team goals.

    Qualifications / Skills Required:

    • Applied Physics Mindset.  Engineering activity driven by governing equations.
    • 3D CAD – 3D modeling/Assembly and 2D drafting skills required. SolidWorks is preferred
    • Understanding of FEA and CFD and ability to support/approve analysis.
    • Familiarity with standard automotive procedures (DFMEA, PPAP, Design Reviews, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain project timing and track deliverables to completion.
    • Demonstratable mastery of the engineering problem solving methodology.
    • Experience leading multiple automotive projects
    • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Able to work independently with minimal oversight to achieve project completion
    • Able to set and manage project budgets

    • VA/VE
    • Working electrical knowledge
    • Foreign Language is a plus
    • Working knowledge of various manufacturing techniques (Stamping, High Pressure Die Cast, Injection Molding, Surface/Heat treatments, etc.)

    Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.

    Education:  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, MS preferred

    Experience: 7+ years of experience as a design engineer. Any experience working as a design engineer in the automotive industry is a plus.

    Working conditions:

    • Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed. The candidate will occasionally need to travel to multiple global locations to support project development.
