Mechanical Inspector - Avon, Ohio - JOB 26-00568

Pay Range: $24.50 - $26.00/HR + $.75 Shift Differential - Full-time Permanent Position with Benefits

Avon, Ohio area manufacturer is seeking to hire several Mechanical Inspectors for 2^nd shift (3:30pm to 2am). CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience is required.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift (3:30pm to 2am)
• Solid knowledge operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Verify that finished products meet specifications within tolerances
• Inspect precision metal stampings, assemblies, and raw materials to ensure all products conform to specifications
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, GD&T, and inspection techniques
• Measure dimensions (length, height, and distance) using precision instruments to include: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, CMMs, and snap gages
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to document findings on inspection sheets and report issues to supervisors
• Calibrate static balancers to an internal computer-generated setting for measurement and use static balancers to measure part balance and record data.
• Conduct capability studies to determine if parts meet customer specifications.

• Strong mathematical skills, including measurement conversions and solving for x
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
