The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to support our client in Wayne, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone with inspection experience who enjoys working in a precision manufacturing environment and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout production.

This role offers a consistent first-shift schedule, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work with a respected organization in the electronic systems industry.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies during the production process

  • Use precision measuring tools to verify product quality and specifications

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and process documentation

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and compliance requirements

  • Document inspection results and report any defects or discrepancies

  • Support continuous improvement by identifying quality concerns

  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection/work area
Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, or work instructions

  • Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

  • High school diploma or equivalent
Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment

Pay up to $27.75 per hour DOE
