Mechanical/Machine Assembler

We are hiring 3 Mechanical/Machine Assemblers for an on-site opportunity in Akron, OH. If you have production or assembly experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and enjoy building and preparing components for finishing, we want to hear from you.

You will help assemble components into sub-assemblies and final assemblies, then prep parts for paint for custom engineered production machines used in the tire/rubber industries. This is a great role for detail-oriented candidates who can work safely and confidently with tools and instructions.

Hours
1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday

Pay
$16.00/hour (Pay is based on experience.)

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete sub-assembly and/or final assembly of products or components
  • Complete disassembly of test-fit products and prep for painting
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assembly of components or products
  • Clean metal frame assemblies with lacquer thinner to prep for painting
  • Clean weldments using a grinder and paint thinner to prep for painting
  • Press bearings, hang housings, push hoses on air cylinders, glue magnets to magpots
  • Assist other departments and functions as needed

Minimum Requirements
  • Previous production/assembly experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
