MBC Aerosol is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Mechanical Design team. The role of a Senior Mechanical Machine Design Engineer will be to take industrial automation projects from an initial kick-off meeting to working completion through all of the stages of design & configuration, also when requested, be able to support existing customers by working alongside with the service team, and occasionally support the shop builders & sales with Mechanical questions. MBC provides Aerosol equipment to customers in the Industrial, Cosmetics & Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical & Household Use Industries.
Responsibilities
Mechanical Machine design using specialized software (SolidWorks) to create 3D models and drawings of Aerosol machinery
Research new materials and concepts for possible implementation into legacy and future Machine designs
Cradle to grave mechanical Machinery Design
Organize and maintain existing and new engineering records
Maintain and Release Mechanical Machinery designs using ERP software
Collaborate with other mechanical and electrical engineers & sales with a goal of achieving a high-quality product for the customer according to the sales writeup, schedule and budget.
Support customers when needed on technical matters
Assist the service department team with technical queries
Ensure components and assemblies adhere to Aerosol industry safety practices and business standards
Requirements
Min. Batchelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of experience designing automated machinery
In-depth Knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software
Extensive Knowledge of automated packaging machinery
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
Rare travel maybe required (typically less than 5%)
Must provide high-quality design and have impeccable attention to detail
Time management skills and ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
Hazloc environment experience (advantageous but not essential).
