JOB SUMMARY:Performs all necessary repairs including heavy electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication within the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production equipment.
- Strong trouble shooting abilities to locate source of problems by observing device, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.
- Follow manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
- Welding, altering, and fabrication of components on machinery using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
- Basic understanding or better, of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
- Basic ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues with the use of simple troubleshooting tools/hand tools.
- Preferred (but not necessary)
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Familiarity with CNC machines
- Familiarity with basic automated equipment
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Movement of equipment, both internal and external
- Removal of defective components using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
- Assist in safety and housekeeping repairs
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- HSD Required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
