SUMMARY: The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor coordinates shift activities of the mechanical personnel engaged in the setting up, repairing and maintenance of machinery and associated equipment. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor develops and/or maintains systems regarding the mechanical management of the production lines to ensure a safe, efficient and flexible department that meets both internal and external customers expectations. They must be the site leader in living and driving the Company Core Values and High-Performance Work Culture.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly manage employees assigned as Mechanics and Maintainers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a college degree; or at least ten years related hands-on experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, rate and percentage. Must be competent with standard quality control testing equipment and basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and electricity. The employee is exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
