We are seeking a hands-on
Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, pumps, and vacuum systems.
Salary: up to $80,000/yr (based on experience)
Location: Uniondale, NY
Schedule: 9/80 schedule, Monday-Friday, with alternating Fridays off!
Mechanical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Maintain and repair manufacturing machinery, pumps, and vacuum systems to support equipment reliability and production uptime. Identify mechanical malfunctions, investigate root causes, and perform corrective repairs using hands-on troubleshooting techniques. Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures. Disassemble and reassemble machinery, replace worn or damaged bearings, belts, gears, and seals, and perform adjustments and alignment. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to support maintenance and repair procedures. Assist with basic maintenance of building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical components, and general facility repairs. Document completed maintenance, repairs, equipment issues, and corrective actions. Mechanical Maintenance Technician Qualifications: Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment repair, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience repairing pumps and industrial machinery. Mechanical troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing equipment malfunctions and identifying worn or damaged components. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Knowledge of mechanical components, including bearings, belts, gears, seals, and related machinery. Basic understanding of vacuum, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Show more Skills
