Title: Mechanical / Packaging Engineer
Location: Covington, TN Onsite
Job Summary
Support the design, evaluation, and optimization of automated packaging systems.
Evaluate packaging equipment from filling through secondary and end-of-line operations.
Develop packaging line layouts and equipment arrangements using AutoCAD.
Coordinate 3D models within the overall plant design environment.
Support packaging process improvements, equipment integration, and product changeovers.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and select packaging equipment including fillers, conveyors, cartoners, case packers, wrappers, and palletizers.
Support End-of-Line (EOL) systems, including palletizing operations.
Develop and modify packaging line layouts, equipment placement, and plant integration plans.
Develop technical specifications for equipment modifications, installations, and packaging/product changeovers.
Coordinate with equipment vendors and support equipment installation, integration, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5 10+ years of relevant Mechanical or Packaging Engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with packaging machinery and automated packaging systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and packaging line layout development.
Experience with equipment integration, 3D model coordination, and manufacturing support.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Food & Beverage, CPG, Food Processing, or Packaging industries.
Experience in Ice Cream or Dairy manufacturing.
Knowledge of hygienic/clean-process manufacturing environments.
Experience with packaging process optimization and continuous improvement.
Experience coordinating with equipment suppliers and vendors.
