Mechanical Pipe Preconstruction Manager

Responsibilities Responsibilities Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Pipe Preconstruction Manager to assist with mechanical pipe self-perform pursuits across multiple divisions within our Heavy Civil market sectors. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Estimate construction costs for below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for material and equipment for process piping systems and associated process equipment. Develop labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs using historical data, industry trend and estimating software. Review plans, specifications, proposals and P&IDs to fully understand project scope, requirements and conditions. Solicit and review pricing for materials, equipment and specialized subcontractors Assist in the preparation of thorough, clearly structured, and detailed estimates and proposals for presentation to management, clients, and other stakeholders. Knowledge of piping systems, construction practices, and industry standards Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field; Or acceptable construction experience 3-10 years experience managing or estimating below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes. Experience in managing the construction or estimating construction costs for below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes. Knowledge of piping systems, construction practices, and industry standards Exceptional mathematical and analytical abilities Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills Technical writing skills Ability to multitask and prioritize resources Superior organizational skills and attention to detail Self-perform production knowledge Quantity survey experience Proficient knowledge of estimating software Experience representing company with industry and community organizations
