Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Mechanical Piping and Plumbing Project Manager in Sioux Falls, SD to lead commercial plumbing and process piping projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Impact

- Deliver multi-million-dollar mechanical projects on schedule and within budget
- Ensure quality installations that meet code requirements and client expectations
- Build strong relationships with general contractors, engineers, and trade partners

Responsibilities

- Manage all phases of mechanical piping and plumbing projects from bid to completion
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and general contractors on design and logistics
- Lead project teams including foremen, pipefitters, and plumbers
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for accuracy and compliance
- Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software
- Monitor project costs, change orders, and budget performance
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and progress
- Resolve field conflicts and coordinate with other trades
- Maintain accurate project documentation and closeout records

Requirements

Must-Haves

- 5+ years of experience managing commercial plumbing or mechanical piping projects
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, piping systems, and construction methods
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with project management software and scheduling tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain

Nice-to-Haves

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with design-build or design-assist delivery methods
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and Navisworks
- PE or PMP certification
