Mechanical Process Engineer
Work Location: Onsite in Greenville, SC office OR Houston, TX office
Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate's requested rate
Duration: 6 months+
Hours: 40 hours per week, with options for up to 10 hours extra for emergent project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined design projects through all phases including planning, design, construction, and project startup
- Prepare and review calculations and specifications related to Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development
- Generate and review accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications
- Demonstrate design experience in mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design
- Coordinate multi-disciplined team efforts across project phases
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related engineering phases
- Nuclear experience preferred
- Working knowledge of applicable federal (including DOE orders), state, and local codes and standards
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications — required
