Mechanical Project Engineer – Industrial SystemsSharpe Engineering & Equipment is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer – Industrial Systems to support the design, development, and execution of critical mechanical utility systems for industrial and food & beverage processing environments.This hands‑on engineering role will focus on boiler systems, steam distribution, hot water systems, and glycol‑based cooling systems, taking projects from concept through design, equipment specification, installation, and commissioning. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable, efficient, and high‑performing systems that support complex operations.In this role, you'll collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, project managers, vendors, and clients—helping bring technically sound, practical solutions to life while supporting Sharpe's commitment to quality and operational excellence.Industrial Mechanical System Design (Primary Focus)Design and support industrial boiler systems, steam and condensate return systems, hot water heating systems, and glycol-based cooling systemsPerform load calculations, heat transfer analysis, equipment sizing, and pump and piping designPrepare PFDs, P&IDs, system layouts, and equipment specificationsAssist in selecting boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, expansion tanks, controls, and related components, preferredDevelop designs that prioritize reliability, serviceability, energy efficiency, and long‑term performanceProject Execution & Technical SupportExecute engineering tasks aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget of systemsPrepare and review equipment specifications and vendor submittals of systemsProvide technical problem‑solving and design recommendationsSupport commissioning, field testing, troubleshooting, and installation activitiesCollaborate with cross‑functional engineering teamsQuality, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure compliance with ASME, NFPA, and applicable mechanical and industrial standardsIdentify opportunities to improve engineering standards and workflowsMaintain accurate documentation and revision controlWhy Join Sharpe?At Sharpe, you'll join a people‑centric organization built on collaboration, integrity, and responsibility.
