    Job Description

    Complex projects need engineers who can keep design, procurement, installation, and commissioning moving in the same direction.

    We are interested in speaking with Mechanical Project Engineers for current and upcoming opportunities across Phoenix and the wider Arizona market. Projects may include data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, semiconductor plants, industrial developments, energy infrastructure, and other technically demanding construction programs.

    The opportunity

    Mechanical Project Engineers may support projects from preconstruction and design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, and final turnover.

    Depending on the employer and project, responsibilities may include:

    • Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical documentation.
    • Coordinating HVAC, cooling, plumbing, piping, and building-services packages.
    • Working with project managers, superintendents, designers, subcontractors, and equipment vendors.
    • Managing requests for information, technical queries, and design changes.
    • Reviewing shop drawings and confirming compliance with project requirements.
    • Tracking equipment procurement, delivery schedules, and long-lead items.
    • Supporting field teams with installation and constructability issues.
    • Monitoring quality, progress, and completion of mechanical work.
    • Participating in coordination meetings and reporting on project risks.
    • Assisting with inspections, testing, commissioning, and system handover.
    • Maintaining project records, equipment schedules, and turnover documentation.
    • Supporting cost control, change management, and schedule updates.

    Systems may include:

    • Chilled-water and condenser-water systems.
    • Air-handling and ventilation systems.
    • Chillers, cooling towers, and dry coolers.
    • Pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
    • Process cooling systems.
    • Plumbing and drainage.
    • Fuel and water systems.
    • Building-management controls.
    • Fire-protection interfaces.
    • Specialist mechanical equipment.

    Candidates based in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Scottsdale, Glendale, or nearby locations may be suitable.

    Some positions may require regular attendance at active construction sites, regional travel, or temporary assignments depending on the project.
