What will you tackle?
Translate customer prints into measurable features and checkpoints
Execute quality control plans from incoming through final inspection
Verify dimensions and features against specifications
Capture results with accuracy and consistency in required formats
Apply good documentation practices and maintain traceability
Detect and report scratches, burrs, cosmetic defects, and dimensional variation
Care for, calibrate, and correctly store inspection equipment
Tools and methods you will use
Mechanical inspection equipment: calipers, micrometers, height and pin gages
SPC applications: QC-CALC or equivalent, plus Minitab or Sigma Excel
FAI creation and Final Inspection Certifications
Vision inspection systems such as Micro-Vu
CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS
GD&T, machining principles, and formal quality control plans
ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 quality management frameworks
Calibration practices and records
Preferred background
Associate degree in Quality or at least 2 years of mechanical inspection experience.
