About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Mechanical Repair Technicians for a rail manufacturing/repair company in Grand Forks, ND. In this role, you’ll help maintain and restore railcars while working hands-on with mechanical systems in a structured, team-oriented environment. What You’ll Do as a Mechanical Repair Technician:- Maintain repair and maintenance records
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
- Inspect railcars to determine overall condition
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper functioning
- Measure distances and dimensions accurately
- Seal gaps or cracks to prevent leakage or moisture intrusion
What You Need to Bring to the Mechanical Repair Technician Role:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
