The Burlington County Resource Conservation Division of Parks is seeking a Mechanical Repairer Light Equipment Operator.
DUTIES:
Under direction, the employee performs routine maintenance and repair work on motorized equipment such as small tractors, small trucks, power chain saws, mowers, snow equipment and related implements. Manages vendors and contractors to arrange parts, supplies, deliveries, pickups, and services necessary to support maintenance operations and maintain an organized maintenance facility. Does other related work as required, including transporting equipment, maintenance work and event set-up/break down.
Maintain vehicles and equipment in operational readiness. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, deployment and storage of active, seasonal, and idle equipment. Ability to train in proper maintenance and safe usage of equipment. Inspect vehicles and equipment for deficiencies, damage, wear, and maintenance; reports damages; recommends new equipment and equipment for decommissioning.
Maintain and test batteries, including trickle chargers and battery maintainers. Maintain fuel, oil, lubricant, and two-stroke fuel inventories. Ensure fuel containers are properly filled, labeled, mixed, and stored.
Order, receive, organize, and stock parts, supplies, and maintenance materials. Manage inventory of repair parts, hardware, belts, hoses, chains filters, blades, fluids, tires, batteries, and other supplies.
Coordinate and manage in-house and outsourced vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, including scheduling and maintaining records, managing LOTO and updating service return service.
Diagnose, repair, replace, and install hydraulic hoses, fittings, cylinders, valves, pumps, tires and related components. Fabricate hydraulic hose assemblies as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop, work and storage area. Organize and maintain tools, parts, equipment, and supplies. Keeps essential records and files.
Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, orderly, and professional condition.
SALARY: $47,523
REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS: organized, detail-oriented, multitasking, planning, responsible, computer literacy, ability to lift 50lbs
LICENSE: Appointees must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey, forklift certification required
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of work experience involving maintenance and repair of small equipment; including the usage of management software. Fleet management experience preferred.
