Orano TN is seeking a MechanicalStructural Engineer to support the engineering and design work performed to support the design and development of various spent nuclear fuel storage and transport packages. This qualified individual will be responsible for conducting mechanicalstructural static and dynamic analyses using either commercial software tools such as ANSYS and LS-DYNA or by hand calculations using classical methods. Solid understanding of linear non-linear and dynamic structural analyses is required. Experience with ASME BPVC Section III or VIII Design by Stress Analysis is required. Additional Job Responsibilities Include Perform calculations in support of design development and licensing in the structural discipline. Interface with designers project engineers and other analytical disciplines thermal nuclear etc. to ensure the structural integrity of the design. Conduct finite element analyses on structures systems and components using either commercial software tools such as ANSYS and LS-DYNA andor by hand calculations using classical methods. The types of analyses required are linear and non-linear structural analysis rigid body dynamics modes and frequencies. Provide design solutions and verification methods. Participate in team meetings technical reviews design reviews peer reviews and problem-solving meetings. Document structural analysis calculations and prepare related sections of the Safety Analysis Report SAR andor Technical Reports as part of TN AMERICAS LLCs licensing submittals to the NRC. Pay Range 95000-120000 per year Requirements All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level positionBS in Engineering Mechanical or CivilStructural plus a minimum of 3-5 years of related engineering work experience.
