Mechanical Superintendent – Mission Critical Construction<\/span>
<\/h1>

Location: Northern Indiana<\/span>
<\/p>

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to support the delivery of large -scale, mission -critical data center construction projects in Northern Indiana. This role will be responsible for leading all field activities related to mechanical systems installation, ensuring safe, high -quality, and on -schedule execution across complex mechanical scopes.<\/span>
<\/p>

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HVAC, piping, plumbing, and large -scale mechanical systems within commercial, industrial, or mission -critical environments, with proven ability to lead field teams and subcontractors in fast -paced construction settings.<\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span>
<\/h2>
  • Lead day -to -day field operations for mechanical construction activities<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Oversee installation of HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, ductwork, and associated mechanical infrastructure<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Manage piping systems including chilled water, condenser water, and mechanical process piping<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate plumbing scopes including domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Supervise mechanical subcontractors, foremen, and field crews to ensure productivity and quality standards<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate closely with general contractors, MEP partners, engineers, and commissioning teams<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Conduct daily site coordination meetings, safety briefings, and progress tracking<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Monitor installation sequencing to align with project schedule and critical path activities<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Support commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover of mechanical systems<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain detailed field documentation including daily reports, manpower tracking, and progress updates<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Enforce strict safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture across all mechanical activities<\/span>

    Qualifications<\/span>
    <\/h2>
    • 5–10+ years of experience in mechanical construction or HVAC/piping supervision<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong experience in large commercial, industrial, or mission -critical environments<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, piping infrastructure, and plumbing coordination<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience supervising subcontractors and managing large field teams<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, and field logistics<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem -solving skills<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience working on data center, manufacturing, healthcare, or large infrastructure projects preferred<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred<\/span>

      Preferred Backgrounds<\/span>

      Candidates may come from mechanical contractors, HVAC contractors, plumbing contractors, or MEP firms delivering large -scale commercial or mission -critical projects.<\/span>
      <\/p>

      Experience supporting data center environments or other highly coordinated, fast -track construction programs is highly desirable.<\/span>
