    Job Description

    Overview

Based in Brooklyn Park, MN, you’ll spend your day transforming parts and hardware into finished, high‑quality products. You’ll follow engineering drawings, precise work instructions, and proven procedures while keeping safety front and center. If you love tools, machinery, engines, and mechanical systems—and enjoy solving hands-on problems—this role will fit you perfectly.

    A Day in the Role

Morning starts with a safety check and a review of the day’s build plans. You’ll interpret blueprints, gather components, and set up mechanical and torque tools. Throughout the shift, you’ll:

    • Assemble subassemblies and systems to spec using mechanical tools, torque tools, and metric measurements.
    • Work with hydraulic systems and electrical components as needed.
    • Document work accurately in both electronic and paper formats.
    • Spot, record, and communicate any assembly or quality issues, and help troubleshoot to resolution.
    • Coordinate with teammates to hit production and quality goals.
    • Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists safely (training available if required).
    • Progress to working independently with minimal supervision once trained.

    What You Bring

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience (manufacturing, automotive, diesel, equipment repair, or similar) OR completion of a relevant technical/trade school program.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read/interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    Physical & Work Environment

    • Lift up to 35 lbs frequently.
    • Stand and work for 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.
    • Kneel, squat, crawl, bend, twist, and work in tight or awkward spaces.
    • Work at heights, including climbing on equipment, machines, ladders, and step stools.
    • Adapt to fluctuating temperatures.
    • Perform repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and rotational motions.
    • Use fine motor skills for precision, detailed work.
    • Regularly use wrenches, drills, cutters, tie wrap guns, pneumatic and vibratory tools, and manual torque tools (must be able to torque up to 250 Newton meters or 185 foot pounds).
    • Wear required PPE: hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe/metatarsal footwear; dust masks as needed.
