    Description

    Everllence Hellas is looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Piraeus.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the design, specification, coordination, and delivery of compressor and plant systems, including both traditional and magnetically levitated technologies. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners to develop safe, reliable, and efficient system solutions for complex industrial projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile international projects while expanding your expertise in compressor and plant engineering.

    What you will be doing

    • Plan and manage compressor systems, including both traditional and magnetically levitated designs
    • Participate in project kick-offs, design reviews, coordination meetings, HAZOP studies, FATs, and other key project-related activities
    • Act independently within project teams, taking responsibility as a Technical Project Leader (TPL) for assigned work packages
    • Lead the overall system design process, including the specification, procurement, and acceptance of plant components
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to external engineering and service providers, ensuring the quality of delivered work
    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across quality, sales, procurement, project management, dynamic simulation, commissioning, and other functions
    • Supervise a small planning team while monitoring project costs, schedules, and deliverables
    • Participate in technical discussions, negotiations, and clarifications with customers and suppliers
    • Advise and support internal colleagues, customers, and external partners on technical matters
    • Provide engineering support during commissioning and start-up activities
    • Work across a diverse range of technical topics related to main and auxiliary systems
    • Willingness to travel internationally, including several weeks of training in Zurich during the first year, as well as occasional international travel for project-related activities

    Who you are

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable field from a Technical University
    • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in machinery and plant engineering
    • Expertise in control and regulation technology for complex plant systems
    • Project management skills are desirable
    • Sound knowledge of relevant international standards and guidelines (MRL, EN, ANSI, API, VGB, etc.); knowledge of explosion protection (ATEX, IECEx) and functional safety is desirable
    • SAP knowledge is considered an advantage
    • General understanding of all phases of project documentation and the relationship between drawings and specifications
    • Fluency in Greek and English; additional language skills, particularly German, are beneficial
    • Experience working in international project environments
    • High level of independence, combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
    • Systematic and conscientious working style, with a willingness to travel internationally on occasion
    • Confidence in interacting with clients, suppliers, and external service providers
