You will be the on-site subject matter expert responsible for supporting engineering and production activities involved in the manufacturing of passenger coach rail vehicles for the Galleys, Water & Waste, and Washrooms systems. ResponsibilitiesProvide systems engineering level support to production-related topics impacting the manufacture of passenger rail vehicles for the Galleys, Water & Waste, and Washrooms systemsWork under the guidance and supervision of the System Architects for the respective systemsProvide guidance and direction to production engineers in the resolution of production issuesEnsure that internal and external interface, contractual, and regulatory requirements are met in the as-manufactured conditionCollaborate regularly with internal and external partners both within the United States and in EuropeBe familiar with the design review documentation and CDRL's for the Galleys, Water & Waste, and Washrooms systemsMust be detail-oriented, take ownership of projects, and be able to work independently on projects to troubleshoot technical issues with minimal direction.Be familiar with the mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces for the Galleys, Water & Waste, and Washrooms systems as well as the requirements for installation, ensuring successful integration in the as-manufactured conditionProvide technical mentorship to junior engineersWork collaboratively with management to ensure business needs are maintainedManage duration of assigned tasks independently with consideration of both time and associated costTravel up to 15% including regular travel within the United States, Europe, and AsiaRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, and ExperienceBS degree inMechanical + 5 years of relevant experience; or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering + 2 years of relevant experience; or PhD in Mechanical Engineering + 1 year of relevant experience.
