Mechanical Team Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planned Mechanical Team Supervisor to oversee our team of maintenance technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all planned mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing equipment reliability.

Responsibilities
• Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of mechanical maintenance technicians.
• Schedule, plan, and coordinate all planned mechanical maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and records.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical equipment to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee the maintenance of mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.
• Collaborate with other maintenance teams to optimize maintenance strategies and resource allocation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Prior experience managing a team of mechanical technicians or engineers
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of CAD software and other mechanical design tools
• Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Experience will be considered in lieu of education
