The Mechanical Technician, Greeley will work with others to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. The Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

What You'll Do

• Performing maintenance and repairs on engines (including Waukesha, Ariel, Superior), compressors and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
• Perform overhaul of compressors and engines/engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
• Ensure the safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines
• Comply with company policies, procedures and directives
• Perform work on air pollution control equipment
• Perform required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Identify maintenance work and initiate work requests, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate needed resources
• Drive a company owned vehicle within assigned area
• Diagnose mechanical problems
• Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance

What You'll Bring - Required Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid drivers license
• Currently live, or willing to relocate if selected, within 40 miles of reporting location
• Willing and able to work a rotating call-out schedule
• Willing and able to maintain all required operations and safety training including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks
• Willing and able to perform/comply, with or without reasonable accommodation, with the following:
• Climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 20 feet in height on platforms and catwalks to perform maintenance on equipment as part of this position
• Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally exerts pulling force of 100 pounds
• Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain
• Work outside in harsh weather conditions
• Work alone a high percentage of the time
• Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime on an as needed basis and provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis
• Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection

What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred

• 3 or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry
• 3 or more years of direct experience with reading schematics, manuals and drawings
• 3 or more years of experience working with GE screw compressors and Altas Copco services
• Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, SAP, Word, and available maintenance programs
• Sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA and Process Safety

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $90,000 - $114,400.

When employees are promoted or move to a new salary grade, Phillips 66 generally aligns base pay positioning to 95% of the midpoint of the new salary range or provides a 5% increase to current base salary-whichever is greater. This approach ensures competitive, equitable pay aligned with market benchmarks and recognizes your experience and contributions. Our goal is to position employees fairly within the new range, supporting both internal equity and career growth.

While this framework guides most transitions, exceptions may occur based on business needs, budget considerations, or individual development plans. In such cases, compensation decisions will continue to reflect a commitment to internal equity, market competitiveness, and career growth, with transparency at the core.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
