Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting maintenance and reliability activities to ensure timely delivery and optimal performance of industrial equipment. This role focuses on improving equipment uptime, reducing maintenance-related downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a maintenance base environment.
Job Description
- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with established maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies
- Follow Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) procedures and standard work processes
- Accurately record maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, labor time, and equipment history in business systems
- Ensure compliance with product line maintenance standards and operational procedures
- Support initiatives aimed at improving equipment uptime, turnaround time, and overall maintenance efficiency
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance asset utilization and reduce cost of service delivery
- Assist in implementing repair, reuse, and cost-optimization projects for equipment and parts
- Participate in equipment failure investigations when assigned
- Maintain compliance with competency management and safety systems
Skills Required
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in any industry
- Experience using tools, equipment, or machinery (e.g., mechanical, construction, automotive, military)
- Ability to use basic and pneumatic hand tools
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tablet/laptop usage
Preferred skills
- Experience with hydraulic systems or pressurized equipment
- Background in oil & gas or related industrial environments
- Inspection experience (e.g., NDE or similar roles)
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED required.

Pay rate
