Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary:

The role of a pipeline and measurement technician is to insure the integrity and reliability of custody and non-custody meters by Installing, calibrating and maintaining measurement systems in compliance with company policy and procedures safely and assisting with pipeline activities when needed.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, calibrate and prove electronic flow meters, associated measurement and communications equipment.

Utilizing common forms of measurement including the use of positive displacement meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters and orifice meters.

Prove meters utilizing a portable ballistic prover.

Perform density meter verifications on Coriolis meters for mass proving.

Programming and troubleshooting OMNI and Dynamic flow computers.

Participating as witness to all third party prover and water draws.

Callouts for measurement emergencies.

Collect samples.

Maintain typical measurement equipment, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, valves, etc

Providing resolution suggestions regarding measurement system failures, including hands on troubleshooting and repairs when required.

To operate safe and efficient in an environmentally responsible manner.

Must complete and file meter test data on proper PNO forms.

Obtain data from electronic flow measurement (EFM) devices.

Maintain pipeline leak detection communications, meters, PLC’s and software.

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork.

Provide field assistance for pipeline projects, both Indorama and third party.

Performing housekeeping duties.

Completing mandated safety and regulatory training.

Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills.

Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).

Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.     

Qualifications:

Clear communication.

Associates in technical degree in: Instrumentation technology degree or process operations degree.

Accountability.

TWIC card.

Education Requirements:

Associate Degree in Instrumentation or related field required.
